Installation Guide For motorolla themes
Uploading a Skin to Your Phone

Uploading skins to your Motorola phone is quite simple using Skins Manager.

1. Connect your phone to your PC using your USB cable o*nly (Bluetooth is not supported).

2. Open Skins Manager and wait for it to display a list of the current skins o*n your phone.

3. Click the “Install” button.

4. On the “SKI patches” screen, DO NOT check any boxes. Simply click o*n “OK”.



5.Now browse to the skin you would like to install and select the SKI file. The skin and wallpaper will be installed to your phone.

6. Once the skin is finished being installed and your skin list is refreshed, click o*n the “More” button and restart your phone.



**WARNING** this process will void your warranty, and may break your phone. perform mods at your own risk!

**WARNING** these skins are not compatible with the V3x. it will break you phone. DO NOT USE THESE SKINS IF YOU HAVE A V3X

first, check if your phone is compatible with skins. to check go to "settings"-->"personalise"-->"skin"

tools you will need:
-PST 6.7 or higher (googlesearch)
-P2k tools
-P2k Commander
-datacable

there are three methods for installing skins:

process #1: flexing:
1. download skin zip to PC
2. connect datacable to phone
3. open PST: "open"--->"pflex"
4. open "cr Dir skin name here.hs"(from .zip)--->"run"
4a. if using my skins, (.ski & .dat included in flex), stop at step 5
5. restart phone
6. close PST open p2ktools
7. "switch to p2kmode"--->"connect"
8. check "upload path"
9. type: /a/mobile/skins/new skin name here/
10. "upload"
11. upload all .dat and .ski from the skin .zip to the typed in new directory
12. restart phone

process #2 (swapping)
1. download zip
2. connect datacable to phone
3. open p2ktools
4. "switch to p2kmode"--->"connect"
5. explore to skins folder
6. select a skin (do not touch "moto")
7.rename .dat and .ski (from .zip) to mimic those o*n the skin directory eg. Scarlet.dat, etc. renaming is case specific.
8. send the renamed .dat/.ski to the appropriate skin directory. new files should overwrite the old o*nes.
9. restart phone



process #3: using p2kCommander (googlesearch)
1. run p2kC
2. right side directory tree: read "p2k mobile phone"
3. browse directory tree to "skins". double click so all skins are showing.
4. create "new folder", use skin name(make sure name is EXACT as the files)
5. click "re-read"
6. open (double click) newly created folder (in the skins directory) you should see a .txt file (ignore/delete that)
7. on left side side directory tree: browse to location of skin files (.dat, .ski)
8.highlight the files (from the left side) o*ne at a time and "copy" to new directory o*n the phone.
9."copy" skin wallpaper to "pictures" folder o*n phone.
10. press f9 (phone reboot)
